The W.O.R.K. Program is a program that focuses on workforce development, family relationships, and building social connections to enable participants to be self-sufficient and care for their families well. Currently serving DeKalb, Jackson, and Marshall Counties.
Program Eligibility:
Qualifications for the W.O.R.K. Program depend on the household’s income and the number of individuals within the household. Participants must be parents (custodial or non-custodial) of children 18 or younger.
Case Management
Participants meet with coordinators for assistance in obtaining employment, addressing needs, and providing support through the participants’ time in the program.
Workforce Development
Participants work with their local community college through workforce development courses to obtain certifications or skills to gain better-paying jobs.
Parenting
Participants attend an evidence-based parenting class in a group setting to improve parenting skills with a goal of improved relationships and family reunification.
